不可喫小心眼兒人的飯；不可貪好他的美味；

勿食眈眈者之餅、勿貪其珍饈、

宴友而睚眦、勿與共食、貪其珍錯。

勿坐吝嗇人之席、勿貪其珍饈、

Do not eat the food of a begrudging host, do not crave his delicacies;

Don’t eat the food of anyone who doesn’t want to share it. Don’t long for his fancy food.

Do not eat the bread of a man who is stingy; do not desire his delicacies,

Don’t eat with people who are stingy; don’t desire their delicacies.

Don’t eat a stingy person’s bread, and don’t desire his choice food,

Do not eat the bread of a selfish person; Or desire his delicacies;

Do not eat the bread of a miser, Nor desire his delicacies;

Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, Neither desire thou his dainties:

求你不要容我的心偏向恶事，免得我和作孽的人一同行恶，也不要使我吃他们的美食。

你要自己谨慎，不可心里起恶念，说：‘第七年的豁免年近了’，你就冷眼对待你穷苦的兄弟，什么都不给他，以致他因你求告耶和华，你就有罪了。

不可贪恋他的美食，因为那是骗人的食物。

但以理决心不让御用的佳肴美酒玷污自己，所以求太监长帮助他，使他不用玷污自己。于是神使但以理在太监长面前得着恩惠和同情。只是太监长对但以理说：“我惧怕我主我王，他已指定了你们应用的饮食；如果他见到你们的面色比你们同岁的年轻人憔悴难看，你们就使我的头在王面前保不住了。”

心存良善看人的，必蒙赐福；因为他把自己的食物分给穷人。

难道我不可以照自己的主意用我的财物吗？还是因为我仁慈你就嫉妒呢？’

吝啬（“吝啬”直译是“恶眼”）的人急切求财，却不知穷乏快要临到。

你们中间温柔娇嫩的妇人，素来因为温柔娇嫩不肯把脚掌踏在地上，现在必敌视自己怀中的丈夫和自己的儿女。

奸淫、贪心、邪恶、诡诈、放荡、嫉妒、毁谤、骄傲、愚妄；
