爾豈可為轉瞬即無之貨財勤勞乎、貨財速去、如空中飛鷹、似乎有翼、或作爾豈可注目於貨財乎貨財速歸無有似乎有翼如空中飛鷹

Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.

至于那些今世富足的人，你要嘱咐他们不要自高，也不要倚赖靠不住的钱财；要倚靠那厚赐万物给我们享受的神。

因为凡世界上的东西，好比肉体的情欲、眼目的情欲和今生的骄傲，都不是从父来的，而是从世界来的。

“不要为自己在地上积蓄财宝；地上有虫子咬，能锈坏，也有贼挖洞来偷。

注意！你们这些富足人哪，要为将要临到你们身上的灾难哭泣、号啕。你们的财物腐烂了，你们的衣服被虫子蛀了。

传道者说：“虚空的虚空，全是虚空。”

我见日光之下有一件令人忧伤的祸患，就是财主积存财富，反害自己。他因遭遇不幸，财产尽失；他生了儿子，手里却一无所有。

他们的父亲雅各对他们说：“你们害我丧失了我的儿子：约瑟不在了，西缅也不在了，你们还要带走便雅悯！这些事都临到我身上了。”

世人行动实系幻影，他们忙乱，真是枉然，积蓄财宝，不知将来有谁收取。

弟兄们，我是说：时候不多了。从此以后，那有妻子的，要像没有一样；哀哭的，不像在哀哭；快乐的，不像在快乐；购买的，像一无所得；享受这世界的，不像在享受这世界；因为这世界的局面将要过去了。

求你使我的心趋向你的法度，不趋向不义之财。求你叫我转眼不看虚假，使我活在你的道路中。

你的眼和你的心却专顾不义之财，流无辜人的血，行欺压和残暴。

传道者说：虚空的虚空，虚空的虚空，全是虚空。

你们为何花钱买那不是食物的东西，用劳碌得来的买那无法使人饱足的呢？你们要留意听从我的话，就能吃那美物，得享肥甘，心中喜乐。
