For I fully expect and hope that I will never be ashamed, but that I will continue to be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past. And I trust that my life will bring honor to Christ, whether I live or die.

So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you!

And what was the result? You are now ashamed of the things you used to do, things that end in eternal doom.But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life.

For evil people have no future; the light of the wicked will be snuffed out.

Look at those who are honest and good, for a wonderful future awaits those who love peace.
