你要專心接受教誨，側耳傾聽智言。

求你教導我們明白人生有限，使我們做有智慧的人。

孩子啊，不要忘記我的訓言，要把我的誡命存在心裡，

為使人接受勸誡，為人處事仁義、公平、正直；

側耳聆聽智慧，傾心渴慕悟性；你若呼求洞見，竭力追求悟性，尋它如尋銀子，找它如找寶藏，你就會懂得敬畏耶和華，認識上帝。

孩子啊，要留心聽我的智言，側耳聽我的慧語，好保持明辨力，嘴唇謹守知識。

我用心去認識、探究、追尋智慧和事物的原委，並去認識邪惡帶來的愚昧和無知帶來的狂妄。

要聽從教誨，不可輕忽，要做智者。人若聽從我、天天在我門口仰望、時時在我門邊等候，就有福了。

這一切我都見過了，我用心思考日光之下的一切事。有時人欺壓人、傷害人。

他正在說話的時候，一朵燦爛的雲彩籠罩他們。雲中傳出聲音：「這是我所喜悅的愛子，你們要聽從祂。」

你們要到我這裡來，側耳聽我的話，就必得到生命。我要跟你們立永久的約，將應許給大衛的可靠恩福賜給你們。

父親教導我說：「要牢記我的話，遵守我的誡命，就必存活。你要尋求智慧和悟性，不要忘記或違背我的吩咐。不可離棄智慧，智慧必護佑你；你要熱愛智慧，智慧必看顧你。智慧至上，要尋求智慧，要不惜一切，求得悟性。高舉智慧，她必使你受尊崇；擁抱智慧，她必使你得尊榮。
