有终日贪得无厌的；义人施舍而不吝惜。

懒人整天贪得无厌，义人施舍毫不吝啬。

他终日贪得无厌，但义人施予毫不吝啬。

有終日貪得無饜的；義人施捨而不吝惜。

All day long he craves for more, but the righteous give without sparing.

All day long they hunger for more. But godly people give without holding back.

All day long he craves and craves, but the righteous gives and does not hold back.

Some people are always greedy for more, but the godly love to give!

All day long he is craving, While the righteous gives and does not hold back.

He covets greedily all day long, But the righteous gives and does not spare.

There is that coveteth greedily all the day long; But the righteous giveth and withholdeth not.

He is always generous, always lending, and his children are a blessing.

For we never used flattering speech, as you know, or had greedy motives— God is our witness—and we didn’t seek glory from people, either from you or from others.Although we could have been a burden as Christ’s apostles, instead we were gentle among you, as a nurse nurtures her own children.We cared so much for you that we were pleased to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us.For you remember our labor and hardship, brothers and sisters. Working night and day so that we would not burden any of you, we preached God’s gospel to you.

Give to everyone who asks you, and from someone who takes your things, don’t ask for them back.Just as you want others to do for you, do the same for them.If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them.If you do what is good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that.And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners to be repaid in full.But love your enemies, do what is good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High. For he is gracious to the ungrateful and evil.Be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.

He distributes freely to the poor; his righteousness endures forever. His horn will be exalted in honor.

Now as you excel in everything— in faith, speech, knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love for us— excel also in this act of grace.I am not saying this as a command. Rather, by means of the diligence of others, I am testing the genuineness of your love.For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ: Though he was rich, for your sake he became poor, so that by his poverty you might become rich.

Let the thief no longer steal. Instead, he is to do honest work with his own hands, so that he has something to share with anyone in need.

As it is written: He distributed freely; he gave to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.Now the one who provides seed for the sower and bread for food will also provide and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your righteousness.You will be enriched in every way for all generosity, which produces thanksgiving to God through us.For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.Because of the proof provided by this ministry, they will glorify God for your obedient confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone.And as they pray on your behalf, they will have deep affection for you because of the surpassing grace of God in you.

Give to the one who asks you, and don’t turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.

I have not coveted anyone’s silver or gold or clothing.You yourselves know that I worked with my own hands to support myself and those who are with me.In every way I’ve shown you that it is necessary to help the weak by laboring like this and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, because he said,‘ It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
