惡人心樂人禍、即良朋亦不矜恤、

Sinful people long to do evil. They don’t show their neighbors any mercy.

The soul of the wicked desires evil; his neighbor finds no mercy in his eyes.

you who hate good and love evil; who tear the skin from my people and the flesh from their bones;who eat my people’s flesh, strip off their skin and break their bones in pieces; who chop them up like meat for the pan, like flesh for the pot?”

For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come— sexual immorality, theft, murder,adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly.

Even on their beds they plot evil; they commit themselves to a sinful course and do not reject what is wrong.

Look! The wages you failed to pay the workers who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty.You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. For fools speak folly, their hearts are bent on evil: They practice ungodliness and spread error concerning the Lord; the hungry they leave empty and from the thirsty they withhold water.Scoundrels use wicked methods, they make up evil schemes to destroy the poor with lies, even when the plea of the needy is just.But the noble make noble plans, and by noble deeds they stand.

Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did.

Ask your own servants and they will tell you. Therefore be favorable toward my men, since we come at a festive time. because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

For everything in the world— the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life— comes not from the Father but from the world.

Whoever shuts their ears to the cry of the poor will also cry out and not be answered.

What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you?You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God.When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.Or do you think Scripture says without reason that he jealously longs for the spirit he has caused to dwell in us?

The wicked desire the stronghold of evildoers, but the root of the righteous endures.

Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs with justice.

They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor, their righteousness endures forever; their horn will be lifted high in honor.

You who practice deceit, your tongue plots destruction; it is like a sharpened razor.You love evil rather than good, falsehood rather than speaking the truth.
