The spirit of a person is the lamp of the Lord. It lights up what is deep down inside them.

The human spirit is the lamp of the Lord that sheds light on one’s inmost being.

The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all his innermost parts.

The Lord’s light penetrates the human spirit, exposing every hidden motive.

The LORD’s lamp sheds light on a person’s life, searching the innermost parts.

The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, Searching all the inner depths of his heart.

The human spirit is like the lamp of the LORD, searching all his innermost parts.

The spirit of man is Yahweh’s lamp, searching all his innermost parts.

Who can know the thoughts of another person? Only a person’s own spirit can know them. In the same way, only the Spirit of God knows God’s thoughts.

But the spirit in people gives them understanding. The breath of the Mighty One gives them wisdom.

The word of God is alive and active. It is sharper than any sword that has two edges. It cuts deep enough to separate soul from spirit. It can separate bones from joints. It judges the thoughts and purposes of the heart.Nothing God created is hidden from him. His eyes see everything. He will hold us responsible for everything we do.

Instead, we have given up doing secret and shameful things. We don’t twist God’s word. In fact, we do just the opposite. We present the truth plainly. In the sight of God, we make our appeal to everyone’s sense of what is right and wrong.Suppose our good news is covered with a veil. Then it is veiled to those who are dying.The god of this world has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They can’t see the light of the good news that makes Christ’s glory clear. Christ is the likeness of God.The message we preach is not about ourselves. Our message is about Jesus Christ. We say that he is Lord. And we say that we serve you because of Jesus.God said,“ Let light shine out of darkness.”( Genesis 1:3) He made his light shine in our hearts. His light gives us the light to know God’s glory. His glory is shown in the face of Christ.

They show that what the law requires is written on their hearts. The way their minds judge them proves this fact. Sometimes their thoughts find them guilty. At other times their thoughts find them not guilty.

Then the Lord God formed a man. He made him out of the dust of the ground. God breathed the breath of life into him. And the man became a living person.

Here’s how we know that we hold to the truth. And here’s how we put our hearts at rest, knowing that God is watching.If our hearts judge us, we know that God is greater than our hearts. And he knows everything.Dear friends, if our hearts do not judge us, we can be bold with God.

Blows and wounds scrub evil away. And beatings make you pure deep down inside.
