turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding—

Let your ears listen to wisdom. Apply your heart to understanding.

Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding.

listening closely to wisdom and directing your heart to understanding;

Make your ear attentive to wisdom; Incline your heart to understanding.

So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding;

So as to incline thine ear unto wisdom, And apply thy heart to understanding;

listening closely to wisdom and directing your heart to understanding;

So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom,[ and] apply thine heart to understanding;

by making your ear attentive to wisdom, and by turning your heart to understanding,

so as to turn your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding;

Apply your heart to instruction and your ear to words of knowledge.

Incline your ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply your heart to my knowledge,for it will be pleasant if you keep them within you, if all of them are ready on your lips.That your trust may be in the Lord, I have made them known to you today, even to you.Have I not written for you thirty sayings of counsel and knowledge,to make you know what is right and true, that you may give a true answer to those who sent you?

Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound judgment.

So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.

Your testimonies are my heritage forever, for they are the joy of my heart.I incline my heart to perform your statutes forever, to the end.

Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David.

All this I observed while applying my heart to all that is done under the sun, when man had power over man to his hurt.

When I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done on earth, how neither day nor night do one’s eyes see sleep,

Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.

I turned my heart to know and to search out and to seek wisdom and the scheme of things, and to know the wickedness of folly and the foolishness that is madness.
