彼離正道、行於幽暗、

彼離正直之道、欲行幽暗之路、

who have left the straight paths to walk in dark ways,

Men like that have left the straight paths to walk in dark ways.

who forsake the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness,

These men turn from the right way to walk down dark paths.

Who forsake the paths of uprightness, To walk in the ways of darkness;

Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;

who leave the upright paths to walk on the dark ways,

who forsake the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness,

“ This, then, is the judgment: The light has come into the world, and people loved darkness rather than the light because their deeds were evil.For everyone who practices wicked things hates the light and avoids it, so that his deeds may not be exposed.

But the way of the wicked is like the darkest gloom; they don’t know what makes them stumble.

The man who strays from the way of wisdom will come to rest in the assembly of the departed spirits.

For if, having escaped the world’s impurity through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in these things and defeated, the last state is worse for them than the first.For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness than, after knowing it, to turn back from the holy command delivered to them.It has happened to them according to the true proverb: A dog returns to its own vomit, and,“ a sow, after washing itself, wallows in the mud.”

The wicked are those who rebel against the light. They do not recognize its ways or stay on its paths.The murderer rises at dawn to kill the poor and needy, and by night he becomes a thief.The adulterer’s eye watches for twilight, thinking: No eye will see me; he covers his face.In the dark they break into houses; by day they lock themselves in, never experiencing the light.

There was a man named John who was sent from God.

For though they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God or show gratitude. Instead, their thinking became nonsense, and their senseless minds were darkened.

For it is impossible to renew to repentance those who were once enlightened, who tasted the heavenly gift, became companions with the Holy Spirit,tasted God’s good word and the powers of the coming age,and who have fallen away, because, to their own harm, they are recrucifying the Son of God and holding Him up to contempt.

“ When an unclean spirit comes out of a man, it roams through waterless places looking for rest but doesn’t find any.Then it says,‘ I’ll go back to my house that I came from.’ And returning, it finds the house vacant, swept, and put in order.Then off it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and settle down there. As a result, that man’s last condition is worse than the first. That’s how it will also be with this evil generation.”

When the chief servant tasted the water( after it had become wine), he did not know where it came from— though the servants who had drawn the water knew. He called the groomand told him,“ Everyone sets out the fine wine first, then, after people have drunk freely, the inferior. But you have kept the fine wine until now.”Jesus performed this first sign in Cana of Galilee. He displayed His glory, and His disciples believed in Him.

All have turned away; all alike have become corrupt. There is no one who does good, not even one.

They do not know or understand; they wander in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are shaken.

“ Now, son of man, say to your people: The righteousness of the righteous person will not save him on the day of his transgression; neither will the wickedness of the wicked person cause him to stumble on the day he turns from his wickedness. The righteous person won’t be able to survive by his righteousness on the day he sins.When I tell the righteous person that he will surely live, but he trusts in his righteousness and commits iniquity, then none of his righteousness will be remembered, and he will die because of the iniquity he has committed.

The words of his mouth are malicious and deceptive; he has stopped acting wisely and doing good.

When a righteous person turns from his righteousness and practices iniquity, he will die for this. He will die because of the iniquity he has practiced.

Jesus answered,“ The light will be with you only a little longer. Walk while you have the light so that darkness doesn’t overtake you. The one who walks in darkness doesn’t know where he’s going.

and those who turn back from following the Lord, who do not seek the Lord or inquire of Him.

For you are all sons of light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or the darkness.So then, we must not sleep, like the rest, but we must stay awake and be serious.For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night.

for Demas has deserted me, because he loved this present world, and has gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.
