爾小子、宜受我教、以此默識于心。

Hear, my sons, the instruction of a father, And attend to know understanding:

And if any man hear my sayings, and keep them not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my sayings, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I spake, the same shall judge him in the last day.

And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be upon thy heart;and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thy hand, and they shall be for frontlets between thine eyes.And thou shalt write them upon the door- posts of thy house, and upon thy gates.

Bind them continually upon thy heart; Tie them about thy neck.

I have not gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have treasured up the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

Wherewith shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to thy word.With my whole heart have I sought thee: Oh let me not wander from thy commandments.Thy word have I laid up in my heart, That I might not sin against thee.

My son, attend to my words; Incline thine ear unto my sayings.Let them not depart from thine eyes; Keep them in the midst of thy heart.For they are life unto those that find them, And health to all their flesh.

Let these words sink into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered up into the hands of men.

And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth; and he was subject unto them: and his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.

But Mary kept all these sayings, pondering them in her heart.
