In the fear of the LORD one has strong confidence, and it will be a refuge for his children.The fear of the LORD is like a life-giving fountain, to turn people from deadly snares.

You must actively help the hungry and feed the oppressed. Then your light will dispel the darkness, and your darkness will be transformed into noonday.The LORD will continually lead you; he will feed you even in parched regions. He will give you renewed strength, and you will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring that continually produces water.

I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content in any circumstance.I have experienced times of need and times of abundance. In any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of contentment, whether I go satisfied or hungry, have plenty or nothing.

For“ physical exercise has some value, but godliness is valuable in every way. It holds promise for the present life and for the life to come.”

Fearing the LORD prolongs life, but the life span of the wicked will be shortened.

But the LORD continually shows loyal love to his faithful followers, and is faithful to their descendants,

Satisfy us in the morning with your loyal love! Then we will shout for joy and be happy all our days!

The righteous do not encounter any harm, but the wicked are filled with calamity.

Now godliness combined with contentment brings great profit.For we have brought nothing into this world and so we cannot take a single thing out either.But if we have food and shelter, we will be satisfied with that.Those who long to be rich, however, stumble into temptation and a trap and many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.

But for you who respect my name, the sun of vindication will rise with healing wings, and you will skip about like calves released from the stall.

And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose,

I will satisfy him with long life, and will let him see my salvation.

Certainly his loyal followers will soon experience his deliverance; then his splendor will again appear in our land.

Then those who respected the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD took notice. A scroll was prepared before him in which were recorded the names of those who respected the LORD and honored his name.“ They will belong to me,” says the LORD who rules over all,“ in the day when I prepare my own special property. I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him.

The LORD is near all who cry out to him, all who cry out to him sincerely.He satisfies the desire of his loyal followers; he hears their cry for help and delivers them.The LORD protects those who love him, but he destroys all the wicked.

Remain loyal to the LORD, you chosen people of his, for his loyal followers lack nothing!Even young lions sometimes lack food and are hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.Come children! Listen to me! I will teach you what it means to fear the LORD.

Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria experienced peace and thus was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and in the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, the church increased in numbers.

Look, the LORD takes notice of his loyal followers, those who wait for him to demonstrate his faithfulnessby saving their lives from death and sustaining them during times of famine.

The Lord will deliver me from every evil deed and will bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever! Amen.

They experience his favor; their descendants inherit the land.

The commands to fear the LORD are right and endure forever. The judgments given by the LORD are trustworthy and absolutely just.
