Kindness to the poor is a loan to the LORD, and he will give a reward to the lender.

怜悯贫穷的，就是借给耶和华；他的善行，耶和华必偿还。

怜悯贫寒人的，就是借给耶和华，他的报偿，耶和华必归还他。

善待穷人等于借贷给耶和华，耶和华必回报他的善行。

Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.

Anyone who is kind to poor people lends to the Lord. God will reward them for what they have done.

Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.

If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord— and he will repay you!

One who is gracious to a poor person lends to the Lord, And He will repay him for his good deed.

He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, And He will pay back what he has given.

He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto Jehovah, And his good deed will he pay him again.

The point is this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously.Each person should do as he has decided in his heart— not reluctantly or out of compulsion, since God loves a cheerful giver.And God is able to make every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work.

Send your bread on the surface of the water, for after many days you may find it.

Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the profit that is increasing to your account.

Whoever increases his wealth through excessive interest collects it for one who is kind to the poor.

“ If there is a poor person among you, one of your brothers within any of your city gates in the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother.Instead, you are to open your hand to him and freely loan him enough for whatever need he has.Be careful that there isn’t this wicked thought in your heart,‘ The seventh year, the year of canceling debts, is near,’ and you are stingy toward your poor brother and give him nothing. He will cry out to the LORD against you, and you will be guilty.Give to him, and don’t have a stingy heart when you give, and because of this the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you do.For there will never cease to be poor people in the land; that is why I am commanding you,‘ Open your hand willingly to your poor and needy brother in your land.’“ If your fellow Hebrew, a man or woman, is sold to you and serves you six years, you must set him free in the seventh year.When you set him free, do not send him away empty-handed.Give generously to him from your flock, your threshing floor, and your winepress. You are to give him whatever the LORD your God has blessed you with.

Anyone who welcomes a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward. And anyone who welcomes a righteous person because he’s righteous will receive a righteous person’s reward.And whoever gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is a disciple, truly I tell you, he will never lose his reward.”

One person gives freely, yet gains more; another withholds what is right, only to become poor.A generous person will be enriched, and the one who gives a drink of water will receive water.

The one who oppresses the poor person insults his Maker, but one who is kind to the needy honors him.

The one who despises his neighbor sins, but whoever shows kindness to the poor will be happy.

A person will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth, and the work of a person’s hands will reward him.

Because he has done this thing and shown no pity, he must pay four lambs for that lamb.”
