But the hearts of those who do wrong aren’t worth very much.The words of those who do right benefit many people. But those who are foolish die because they have no sense.

The tongue is also a fire. The tongue is the most evil part of the body. It makes the whole body impure. It sets a person’s whole way of life on fire. And the tongue itself is set on fire by hell.People have tamed all kinds of wild animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures. And they still tame them.But no one can tame the tongue. It is an evil thing that never rests. It is full of deadly poison.With our tongues we praise our Lord and Father. With our tongues we curse people. We do it even though people have been created to be like God.

The mouths of those who do right produce wisdom. But tongues that speak twisted words will be made silent.

The good things people say benefit them. But liars love to hurt others.Those who guard what they say guard their lives. But those who speak without thinking will be destroyed.

The words of a person’s mouth are like deep water. But the fountain of wisdom is like a flowing stream.It isn’t good to favor those who do wrong. That would keep justice from those who aren’t guilty.What foolish people say leads to arguing. They are just asking for a beating.The words of foolish people drag them down. They are trapped by what they say.

Wise people say gracious things. But foolish people are destroyed by what their own lips speak.At first what they say is foolish. In the end their words are very evil.They talk too much. No one knows what lies ahead. Who can tell someone else what will happen after they are gone?

Those who do evil are trapped by their sinful talk. But those who have done no wrong escape trouble.

The fruit that godly people bear is like a tree of life. And those who are wise save lives.

Then they will praise me. I will give perfect peace to those who are far away and those who are near. And I will heal them,” says the Lord.

How can they call on him unless they believe in him? How can they believe in him unless they hear about him? How can they hear about him unless someone preaches to them?And how can anyone preach without being sent? It is written,“ How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”( Isaiah 52:7)

They speak empty, bragging words. They make their appeal to the evil desires that come from sin’s power. They tempt new believers who are just escaping from the company of sinful people.

So it doesn’t surprise us that Satan’s servants also pretend to be serving God. They will finally get exactly what they deserve.

Many people refuse to obey God. All they do is talk about things that mean nothing. They try to fool others. No one does these things more than the circumcision group.They must be stopped. They are making trouble for entire families. They do this by teaching things they shouldn’t. They do these things to cheat people.

To those who are dying, we are the smell of death. To those who are being saved, we are the perfume of life. Who is able to do this work?
