Whoever winks with their eye is plotting perversity; whoever purses their lips is bent on evil.

Whoever winks with their eye is planning to do wrong. Whoever closes their lips tightly is up to no good.

Whoever winks his eyes plans dishonest things; he who purses his lips brings evil to pass.

With narrowed eyes, people plot evil; with a smirk, they plan their mischief.

The one who narrows his eyes is planning deceptions; the one who compresses his lips brings about evil.

He who winks his eyes does so to devise perverse things; He who compresses his lips brings evil to pass.

He winks his eye to devise perverse things; He purses his lips and brings about evil.

He that shutteth his eyes, it is to devise perverse things: He that compresseth his lips bringeth evil to pass.

彼拉多说：“他到底做了什么恶事呢？”但他们却越发喊叫说：“把他钉上十字架！”彼拉多知道自己无济于事，反而骚乱倒要发生，就拿水在众人面前洗手，说：“流这人的血，罪不在我，你们自己看着办吧！”全体民众都回答说：“他的血归在我们和我们儿女的身上！”于是彼拉多给他们释放了巴拉巴，然后将耶稣鞭打了，把他交出去钉上十字架。

故此王就起誓承诺，无论她求什么都给她。女儿受母亲的指使，就说：“请把施洗者约翰的头放在盘子里给我。”

卑劣之徒挖掘恶事，他的言语像灼热的火。

卑劣的作恶者，凭狡诈的口行事；他用眼嘲弄，用脚示意，用指头点划；他心里荒谬，时时策划恶事，散布纷争；

因为这子民的心麻木了，他们充耳不闻，眼睛闭着；免得他们眼睛看见，耳朵听见，心里领悟，回转过来，我就使他们痊愈。’

事实上，所有作恶的人，都憎恨光，不来到光那里，免得自己的行为被揭露出来；

嘲弄的眼，造成伤痛；愚妄的嘴，自招灭亡。
