People make plans in their hearts. But the Lord puts the correct answer on their tongues.

In their hearts human beings plan their lives. But the Lord decides where their steps will take them.

But make up your mind not to worry ahead of time about how to stand up for yourselves.I will give you words of wisdom. None of your enemies will be able to withstand them or prove them wrong.

The Lord directs a person’s steps. So how can anyone understand their own way?

God is working in you. He wants your plans and your acts to fulfill his good purpose.

But when they arrest you, don’t worry about what you will say or how you will say it. At that time you will be given the right words to say.It will not be you speaking. The Spirit of your Father will be speaking through you.

Lord, I know that a person doesn’t control their own life. They don’t direct their own steps.

“ You will be brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities. But do not worry about how to stand up for yourselves or what to say.The Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.”

I will give you new hearts. I will give you a new spirit that is faithful to me. I will remove your stubborn hearts from you. I will give you hearts that obey me.I will put my Spirit in you. I will make you want to obey my rules. I want you to be careful to keep my laws.

I will give them a single purpose in life. Then, they will always have respect for me. Then all will go well for them. And it will also go well for their children after them.I will make a covenant with them that will last forever. I promise that I will never stop doing good to them. I will cause them to respect me. Then they will never turn away from me again.

Speak to him. Tell him what to say. I will help both of you speak. I will teach you what to do.

But the Lord said to me,“ Do not say,‘ I’m too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to. You must say everything I command you to say.Do not be afraid of the people I send you to. I am with you. God put into the heart of Titus the same concern I have for you. Thanks should be given to God for this.

My dear brothers and sisters, don’t let anyone fool you.Every good and perfect gift is from God. This kind of gift comes down from the Father who created the heavenly lights. These lights create shadows that move. But the Father does not change like these shadows.God chose to give us new birth through the message of truth. He wanted us to be the first harvest of his new creation.

Lord, please pay careful attention to my prayer. Listen to the prayers of all of us. We take delight in bringing honor to your name. Give me success today when I bring my request to King Artaxerxes.” I was the king’s wine taster.
