The lips of the wise spread knowledge, but the hearts of fools are not upright.

Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners shall be converted to You.Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, The God of my salvation, And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.O Lord, open my lips, And my mouth shall show forth Your praise.

The tongue of the righteous is choice silver; The heart of the wicked is worth little.The lips of the righteous feed many, But fools die for lack of wisdom.

And moreover, because the Preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yes, he pondered and sought out and set in order many proverbs.The Preacher sought to find acceptable words; and what was written was upright— words of truth.

And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, And his tongue talks of justice.

With my lips I have declared All the judgments of Your mouth.

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying,“ All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings of old,Which we have heard and known, And our fathers have told us.We will not hide them from their children, Telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.For He established a testimony in Jacob, And appointed a law in Israel, Which He commanded our fathers, That they should make them known to their children;That the generation to come might know them, The children who would be born, That they may arise and declare them to their children,

“ Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops.

Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.

How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:“ How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says,“ Lord, who has believed our report?”So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.

And He said to them,“ Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not accomplished through me, in word and deed, to make the Gentiles obedient—in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man’s foundation,but as it is written:“ To whom He was not announced, they shall see; And those who have not heard shall understand.”
