The lips of the wise spread knowledge, but the hearts of fools are not upright.

The lips of wise people spread knowledge. But the hearts of foolish people are not honest.

The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver, The heart of the wicked is worth little.The lips of the righteous feed many, But fools die for lack of understanding.

In addition to being wise, the Preacher also taught the people knowledge; and he pondered, searched out, and arranged many proverbs.The Preacher sought to find delightful words and to write words of truth correctly.

The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful people who will be able to teach others also.

The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, And his tongue speaks justice.

With my lips I have told of All the ordinances of Your mouth.

What I tell you in the darkness, tell in the light; and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim on the housetops.

Let no unwholesome word come out of your mouth, but if there is any good word for edification according to the need of the moment, say that, so that it will give grace to those who hear.

How then are they to call on Him in whom they have not believed? How are they to believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher?But how are they to preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written:“ How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!”However, they did not all heed the good news; for Isaiah says,“ Lord, who has believed our report?”So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

And the tongue is a fire, the very world of unrighteousness; the tongue is set among our body’s parts as that which defiles the whole body and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell.

And He said to them,“ Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.

For I will not presume to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me, resulting in the obedience of the Gentiles by word and deed,in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit; so that from Jerusalem and all around as far as Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.And in this way I aspired to preach the gospel, not where Christ was already known by name, so that I would not build on another person’s foundation;but just as it is written:“ They who have not been told about Him will see, And they who have not heard will understand.”
