Truly the light is sweet, and it is a pleasant thing for the eyes to see the sun.

A cheerful heart makes good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

and Yahweh will guide you continually, satisfy your soul in dry places, and make your bones strong. You will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters don’t fail.

Now for a little moment grace has been shown from Yahweh our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and revived us a little in our bondage.

Blessed are the people who learn to acclaim you. They walk in the light of your presence, Yahweh.

It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones.

The angel said to them,“ Don’t be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all the people.For there is born to you today, in David’s city, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.This is the sign to you: you will find a baby wrapped in strips of cloth, lying in a feeding trough.”Suddenly, there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly army praising God, and saying,“ Glory to God in the highest, on earth peace, good will toward men.”When the angels went away from them into the sky, the shepherds said to one another,“ Let’s go to Bethlehem, now, and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.”They came with haste, and found both Mary and Joseph, and the baby was lying in the feeding trough.When they saw it, they publicized widely the saying which was spoken to them about this child.All who heard it wondered at the things which were spoken to them by the shepherds.But Mary kept all these sayings, pondering them in her heart.

The city has no need for the sun or moon to shine, for the very glory of God illuminated it, and its lamp is the Lamb.

The light of the righteous shines brightly, but the lamp of the wicked is snuffed out.
