Thorns and snares are in the path of the wicked: whoever guards his soul stays from them.

The sluggard says,“ There is a lion in the road! A fierce lion roams the streets!”

The sluggard says,“ There is a lion outside! I will be killed in the streets!”

He will say,“ Build up, build up, prepare the way! Remove the stumbling- block out of the way of my people.”

Teach me your way, Yahweh. Lead me in a straight path, because of my enemies.

They spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying,“ The land, which we passed through to spy it out, is an exceedingly good land.If Yahweh delights in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it to us: a land which flows with milk and honey.Only don’t rebel against Yahweh, neither fear the people of the land; for they are bread for us. Their defense is removed from over them, and Yahweh is with us. Don’t fear them.”

They are all plain to him who understands, right to those who find knowledge.

Good and upright is Yahweh, therefore he will instruct sinners in the way.He will guide the humble in justice. He will teach the humble his way.

All the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.All the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron. The whole congregation said to them,“ We wish that we had died in the land of Egypt, or that we had died in this wilderness!Why does Yahweh bring us to this land, to fall by the sword? Our wives and our little ones will be captured or killed! Wouldn’t it be better for us to return into Egypt?”

and when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying,“ This is the way. Walk in it.”

Lead me, Yahweh, in your righteousness because of my enemies. Make your way straight before my face.

What man is he who fears Yahweh? He shall instruct him in the way that he shall choose.

In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
