The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways, but the folly of fools is deception.

People are wise and understanding when they think about the way they live. But people are foolish when their foolish ways trick them.

The prudent understand where they are going, but fools deceive themselves.

The sensible person’s wisdom is to consider his way, but the stupidity of fools deceives them.

Oh that my ways may be steadfast in keeping your statutes!

while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

[ Yodh] Your hands have made and fashioned me; give me understanding that I may learn your commandments.

And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;

and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!

The wicked earns deceptive wages, but one who sows righteousness gets a sure reward.
