A scoffer seeks wisdom and finds none, But knowledge is easy for one who has understanding.

亵慢人寻智慧，却寻不着；聪明人易得知识。

傲慢人枉寻智慧；聪明人易得知识。

嘲讽者徒然寻智慧，明哲人轻易得知识。

好讥笑人的寻找智慧，却寻不着；聪明人寻找知识，却轻易得着。

讥讽者寻求智慧却得不到；有悟性的人轻易得知识。

褻慢人尋智慧，卻尋不着；聰明人易得知識。

傲慢人枉尋智慧；聰明人易得知識。

侮慢者、求智而不能、明哲者、學道而易得。

The mocker seeks wisdom and finds none, but knowledge comes easily to the discerning.

Those who make fun of others look for wisdom and don’t find it. But knowledge comes easily to those who understand what is right.

A scoffer seeks wisdom in vain, but knowledge is easy for a man of understanding.

A mocker seeks wisdom and never finds it, but knowledge comes easily to those with understanding.

A mocker seeks wisdom and doesn’t find it, but knowledge comes easily to the perceptive.

A scoffer seeks wisdom and does not find it, But knowledge is easy to him who understands.

A scoffer seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not; But knowledge is easy unto him that hath understanding.

And Jesus answered them,“ To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted.For whoever has, to him more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him.

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Wisdom is in the presence of one who has understanding, But the eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth.

At that time Jesus said,“ I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and have revealed them to infants.Yes, Father, for this way was well pleasing in Your sight.All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son determines to reveal Him.

They are all straightforward to him who understands, And right to those who find knowledge.

Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts,and saying,“ Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue just as they were from the beginning of creation.”For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water,

Take care that no one deceives himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise.For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in the sight of God. For it is written:“ He is the one who catches the wise by their craftiness”;

The wise men are put to shame, They are dismayed and caught; Behold, they have rejected the word of the Lord, So what kind of wisdom do they have?

Open my eyes, that I may behold Wonderful things from Your Law.

A fool does not delight in understanding, But in revealing his own mind.

Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, For they are ever mine.I have more insight than all my teachers, For Your testimonies are my meditation.I understand more than those who are old, Because I have complied with Your precepts.

“ The eye is the lamp of the body; so then, if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light.But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. So if the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their reasonings, and their senseless hearts were darkened.Claiming to be wise, they became fools,and they exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible mankind, of birds, four footed animals, and crawling creatures.Therefore God gave them up to vile impurity in the lusts of their hearts, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them.For they exchanged the truth of God for falsehood, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged natural relations for that which is contrary to nature,and likewise the men, too, abandoned natural relations with women and burned in their desire toward one another, males with males committing shameful acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a depraved mind, to do those things that are not proper,

If anyone thinks that he knows anything, he has not yet known as he ought to know;

however, Israel, pursuing a law of righteousness, did not arrive at that law.Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as though they could by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone,

Do you see a person wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

To the Law and to the testimony! If they do not speak in accordance with this word, it is because they have no dawn.
