A scoffer seeks wisdom in vain, but knowledge is easy for a man of understanding.

嘲讽者徒然寻智慧，明哲人轻易得知识。

好讥笑人的寻找智慧，却寻不着；聪明人寻找知识，却轻易得着。

讥讽者寻求智慧却得不到；有悟性的人轻易得知识。

褻慢人尋智慧，卻尋不着；聰明人易得知識。

傲慢人枉尋智慧；聰明人易得知識。

侮慢者求智弗獲、明哲者知識易得、

侮慢者、求智而不能、明哲者、學道而易得。

The mocker seeks wisdom and finds none, but knowledge comes easily to the discerning.

Those who make fun of others look for wisdom and don’t find it. But knowledge comes easily to those who understand what is right.

A mocker seeks wisdom and never finds it, but knowledge comes easily to those with understanding.

A mocker seeks wisdom and doesn’t find it, but knowledge comes easily to the perceptive.

A scoffer seeks wisdom and finds none, But knowledge is easy for one who has understanding.

A scoffer seeks wisdom and does not find it, But knowledge is easy to him who understands.

A scoffer seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not; But knowledge is easy unto him that hath understanding.

A mocker seeks wisdom and doesn’t find it, but knowledge comes easily to the perceptive.

And he answered them,“ To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.For to the one who has, more will be given, and he will have an abundance, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

The discerning sets his face toward wisdom, but the eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth.

At that time Jesus declared,“ I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children;yes, Father, for such was your gracious will.All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

They are all straight to him who understands, and right to those who find knowledge.

knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires.They will say,“ Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.”For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God,

Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.For the wisdom of this world is folly with God. For it is written,“ He catches the wise in their craftiness,”

The wise men shall be put to shame; they shall be dismayed and taken; behold, they have rejected the word of the Lord, so what wisdom is in them?

Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law.

A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.

Your commandment makes me wiser than my enemies, for it is ever with me.I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation.I understand more than the aged, for I keep your precepts.

“ The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light,but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.Claiming to be wise, they became fools,and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves,because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature;and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.

If anyone imagines that he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know.

but that Israel who pursued a law that would lead to righteousness did not succeed in reaching that law.Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as if it were based on works. They have stumbled over the stumbling stone,

Do you see a man who is wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

To the teaching and to the testimony! If they will not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn.
