A king delights in a wise servant, but a shameful servant arouses his fury.

A king is pleased with a wise servant. But a servant who is full of shame stirs up the king’s anger.

A servant who deals wisely has the king’s favor, but his wrath falls on one who acts shamefully.

A king rejoices in wise servants but is angry with those who disgrace him.

“ Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods.But if that evil servant says in his heart,‘ My master is delaying his coming,’and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards,the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of,and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

He who loves purity of heart And has grace on his lips, The king will be his friend.

The king’s wrath is like the roaring of a lion, But his favor is like dew on the grass.A foolish son is the ruin of his father, And the contentions of a wife are a continual dripping.

And the Lord said,“ Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season?Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes.Truly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all that he has.But if that servant says in his heart,‘ My master is delaying his coming,’ and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and be drunk,the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.

If a ruler pays attention to lies, All his servants become wicked.

Take away the wicked from before the king, And his throne will be established in righteousness.

His Lord said to him,‘ Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.’

He who gathers in summer is a wise son; He who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame.

A wise servant will rule over a son who causes shame, And will share an inheritance among the brothers.

He who mistreats his father and chases away his mother Is a son who causes shame and brings reproach.

A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will not know wickedness.Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, Him I will destroy; The one who has a haughty look and a proud heart, Him I will not endure.My eyes shall be on the faithful of the land, That they may dwell with me; He who walks in a perfect way, He shall serve me.He who works deceit shall not dwell within my house; He who tells lies shall not continue in my presence.Early I will destroy all the wicked of the land, That I may cut off all the evildoers from the city of the Lord.

A king who sits on the throne of judgment Scatters all evil with his eyes.
