When trouble comes, sinners are brought down. But godly people seek safety in God even as they die.

When calamity comes, the wicked are brought down, but even in death the righteous seek refuge in God.

The wicked is overthrown through his evildoing, but the righteous finds refuge in his death.

The wicked are crushed by disaster, but the godly have a refuge when they die.

The wicked one is thrown down by his own sin, but the righteous one has a refuge in his death.

The wicked is thrust down by his own wrongdoing, But the righteous has a refuge when he dies.

The wicked is banished in his wickedness, But the righteous has a refuge in his death.

The wicked is thrust down in his evil- doing; But the righteous hath a refuge in his death.

The wicked one is thrown down by his own sin, but the righteous one has a refuge in his death.

The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.

The wicked will be thrown down in his trouble, but the righteous have refuge even in the threat of death.

We are certain about that. We would rather be away from our bodies and at home with the Lord.

The Lord will save me from every evil attack. He will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. Give him glory for ever and ever. Amen.

“ Lord, I look to you to save me.

In fact, we felt as if we were under the sentence of death. But that happened so that we would not depend on ourselves but on God. He raises the dead to life.

I know that my redeemer lives. In the end he will stand on the earth.Though my skin will be destroyed, in my body I’ll see God.I myself will see him with my own eyes. I’ll see him, and he won’t be a stranger to me. How my heart longs for that day!

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid. You are with me. Your shepherd’s rod and staff comfort me.

Then I heard a voice from heaven.“ Write this,” it said.“ Blessed are the dead who die as believers in the Lord from now on.”“ Yes,” says the Holy Spirit.“ They will rest from their labor. What they have done will not be forgotten.”

Consider honest people who are without blame. People who seek peace will have a tomorrow.

Even if God kills me, I’ll still put my hope in him. I’ll argue my case in front of him.

Even if godly people fall down seven times, they always get up. But those who are evil trip and fall when trouble comes.

“ Death, where is the victory you thought you had? Death, where is your sting?”( Hosea 13:14)The sting of death is sin. And the power of sin is the law.But let us give thanks to God! He gives us the victory because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done.My dear brothers and sisters, remain strong in the faith. Don’t let anything move you. Always give yourselves completely to the work of the Lord. Because you belong to the Lord, you know that your work is not worthless.

They are driven from light into the place of darkness. They are thrown out of the world.

“ And here is what these words mean.“ The word Mene means that God has limited the time of your rule. He has brought it to an end.“ The word Tekel means that you have been weighed on scales. And you haven’t measured up to God’s standard.“ The word Peres means that your authority over your kingdom will be taken away from you. It will be given to the Medes and Persians.”Then Belshazzar commanded his servants to dress Daniel in purple clothes. So they did. They put a gold chain around his neck. And he was made the third highest ruler in the kingdom.That very night Belshazzar, the king of Babylon, was killed.

Once more Jesus said to them,“ I am going away. You will look for me, and you will die in your sin. You can’t come where I am going.”

What if God chose to show his great anger? What if he chose to make his power known? But he put up with the people he was angry with. They were made to be destroyed.

Terrors sweep over them like a flood. A storm takes them away during the night.The east wind carries them off, and they are gone. It sweeps them out of their houses.It blows against them without mercy. They try to escape from its power.

Trouble will catch up with him in an instant. He will suddenly be destroyed, and nothing can save him.

For me, life finds all its meaning in Christ. Death also has its benefits.

I told you that you would die in your sins. This will happen if you don’t believe that I am he. If you don’t believe, you will certainly die in your sins.”

You always show me the path of life. You will fill me with joy when I am with you. You will make me happy forever at your right hand.

“ Lord, you are the King over all. Now let me, your servant, go in peace. That is what you promised.

People will be saying that everything is peaceful and safe. Then suddenly they will be destroyed. It will happen like birth pains coming on a pregnant woman. None of the people will escape.

You will show that I am right; I will enjoy your blessing. When I wake up, I will be satisfied because I will see you.

I can’t decide between the two. I long to leave this world and be with Christ. That is better by far.

Evil people will be swept away before burning thorns can heat a pot. And it doesn’t matter if the thorns are green or dry.
