Do not those who plot evil go astray? But those who plan what is good find love and faithfulness.

Those who plan evil go down the wrong path. But those who plan good find love and truth.

Do they not go astray who devise evil? Those who devise good meet steadfast love and faithfulness.

If you plan to do evil, you will be lost; if you plan to do good, you will receive unfailing love and faithfulness.

A good[ man] obtaineth favour of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.

The instruments also of the churl[ are] evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.

All the paths of the LORD[ are] mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth,[ which] may preserve him.

Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.

For the law was given by Moses,[ but] grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
