Whoever fears the Lord walks uprightly, but those who despise him are devious in their ways.

Whoever has respect for the Lord lives a good life. But those who hate him walk down an evil path.

Whoever walks in uprightness fears the Lord, but he who is devious in his ways despises him.

Those who follow the right path fear the Lord; those who take the wrong path despise him.

Whoever lives with integrity fears the LORD, but the one who is devious in his ways despises him.

One who walks in his uprightness fears the Lord, But one who is devious in his ways despises Him.

People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,

The men replied,“ We have come from Cornelius the centurion. He is a righteous and God- fearing man, who is respected by all the Jewish people. A holy angel told him to ask you to come to his house so that he could hear what you have to say.”

“ Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.”

In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil.

Solomon answered,“ You have shown great kindness to your servant, my father David, because he was faithful to you and righteous and upright in heart. You have continued this great kindness to him and have given him a son to sit on his throne this very day.

“ My covenant was with him, a covenant of life and peace, and I gave them to him; this called for reverence and he revered me and stood in awe of my name.True instruction was in his mouth and nothing false was found on his lips. He walked with me in peace and uprightness, and turned many from sin.

Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers.

The Pharisees, who loved money, heard all this and were sneering at Jesus.

Have mercy on us, Lord, have mercy on us, for we have endured no end of contempt.We have endured no end of ridicule from the arrogant, of contempt from the proud.

but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.

And he said to the human race,“ The fear of the Lord— that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.”

Better the poor whose walk is blameless than a fool whose lips are perverse.

Praise the Lord. Blessed are those who fear the Lord, who find great delight in his commands.

May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope, Lord, is in you.

Whoever derides their neighbor has no sense, but the one who has understanding holds their tongue.

The highway of the upright avoids evil; those who guard their ways preserve their lives.

Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.

Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.
