It is pleasant to see dreams come true, but fools refuse to turn from evil to attain them.

A longing fulfilled is sweet to the soul, but fools detest turning from evil.

They have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb and made them white.“ That is why they stand in front of God’s throne and serve him day and night in his Temple. He will lead them to springs of life giving water. And God will wipe every tear from their eyes.”

And this is what he says to all humanity:‘ The fear of the Lord is true wisdom; to forsake evil is real understanding.’”

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.And now the prize awaits me— the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.

Unfailing love and faithfulness make atonement for sin. By fearing the Lord, people avoid evil.

Turn from evil and do good, and you will live in the land forever.

How the king rejoices in your strength, O Lord! He shouts with joy because you give him victory.For you have given him his heart’s desire; you have withheld nothing he requested. Interlude

Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.

Then scarcely had I left them when I found my love! I caught and held him tightly, then I brought him to my mother’s house, into my mother’s bed, where I had been conceived.

Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
