All who are prudent act with knowledge, but fools expose their folly.

Wise people act with knowledge. But foolish people show how foolish they are.

Every prudent man acts with knowledge, but a fool flaunts his folly.

Wise people think before they act; fools don’t— and even brag about their foolishness.

See, My Servant will act wisely; He will be raised and lifted up and greatly exalted.

My lord should pay no attention to this worthless man Nabal, for he lives up to his name: His name is Nabal, and stupidity is all he knows. I, your servant, didn’t see my lord’s young men whom you sent.

Nabal asked them,“ Who is David? Who is Jesse’s son? Many slaves these days are running away from their masters.Am I supposed to take my bread, my water, and my meat that I butchered for my shearers and give them to these men? I don’t know where they are from.”

Good will come to a man who lends generously and conducts his business fairly.

The proud and arrogant person, named“ Mocker,” acts with excessive pride.

The report of your obedience has reached everyone. Therefore I rejoice over you. But I want you to be wise about what is good, yet innocent about what is evil.

Now consider carefully what you must do, because there is certain to be trouble for our master and his entire family. He is such a worthless fool nobody can talk to him!”

“ Look, I’m sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as serpents and as harmless as doves.

Brothers, don’t be childish in your thinking, but be infants in regard to evil and adult in your thinking.
