She reaches out her hands to those who are needy.When it snows, she’s not afraid for her family. All of them are dressed in the finest clothes.She makes her own bed coverings. She is dressed in fine linen and purple clothes.Her husband is respected at the city gate. There he takes his seat among the elders of the land.She makes linen clothes and sells them. She supplies belts to the traders.She puts on strength and honor as if they were her clothes. She can laugh at the days that are coming.

A wise woman builds her house. But a foolish woman tears hers down with her own hands.

I listened and my heart pounded. My lips trembled at the sound. My bones seemed to rot. And my legs shook. But I will be patient. I’ll wait for the day of trouble to come on Babylon. It’s the nation that is attacking us.

But here is how things are for those who belong to the Lord. Woman is not independent of man. And man is not independent of woman.
