偽善以口才、訕謗鄰里、義者具明哲、自救其身。

邪惡者以口陷人、因善人之智慧、乃得拯救、

With their mouths the godless destroy their neighbors, but through knowledge the righteous escape.

With their words ungodly people destroy their neighbors. But those who do what is right escape because of their knowledge.

With his mouth the godless man would destroy his neighbor, but by knowledge the righteous are delivered.

With their words, the godless destroy their friends, but knowledge will rescue the righteous.

With his mouth the ungodly destroys his neighbor, but through knowledge the righteous are rescued.

With his mouth the godless person destroys his neighbor, But through knowledge the righteous will be rescued.

He said to him,“ I too am a prophet as you are, and an angel spoke to me by the word of the Lord, saying,‘ Bring him back with you to your house, that he may eat bread and drink water.’”( He was lying to him.)So he went back with him, and ate bread in his house, and drank water.Now it happened, as they sat at the table, that the word of the Lord came to the prophet who had brought him back;and he cried out to the man of God who came from Judah, saying,“ Thus says the Lord:‘ Because you have disobeyed the word of the Lord, and have not kept the commandment which the Lord your God commanded you,but you came back, ate bread, and drank water in the place of which the Lord said to you,“ Eat no bread and drink no water,” your corpse shall not come to the tomb of your fathers.’”

And the Lord said,‘ Who will persuade Ahab to go up, that he may fall at Ramoth Gilead?’ So one spoke in this manner, and another spoke in that manner.Then a spirit came forward and stood before the Lord, and said,‘ I will persuade him.’The Lord said to him,‘ In what way?’ So he said,‘ I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And the Lord said,‘ You shall persuade him, and also prevail. Go out and do so.’Therefore look! The Lord has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these prophets of yours, and the Lord has declared disaster against you.”

Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said to them,“ Shall I go against Ramoth Gilead to fight, or shall I refrain?” So they said,“ Go up, for the Lord will deliver it into the hand of the king.”

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

He has put forth his hands against those who were at peace with him; He has broken his covenant.The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, But war was in his heart; His words were softer than oil, Yet they were drawn swords.

And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves.

But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron,forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,

“ Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.

as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked;but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

So are the paths of all who forget God; And the hope of the hypocrite shall perish,

“ So when you see the‘ abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not”( let the reader understand),“ then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

For the commandment is a lamp, And the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the way of life,To keep you from the evil woman, From the flattering tongue of a seductress.

That the hypocrite should not reign, Lest the people be ensnared.

But you say,‘ Whoever says to his father or mother,“ Whatever profit you might have received from me is a gift to God”—then he need not honor his father or mother.’ Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition.Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying:‘ These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’”When He had called the multitude to Himself, He said to them,“ Hear and understand:Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.”Then His disciples came and said to Him,“ Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?”But He answered and said,“ Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted.Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.”

But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.

Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth.Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; Love her, and she will keep you.

I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.But take heed; see, I have told you all things beforehand.
