The righteousness of the blameless makes their paths straight, but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness.

The ways of honest people are made straight because they do what is right. But those who do what is wrong are brought down by their own sins.

Then the king said,“ Will he even assault the queen in front of me in the house?” As the word went out of the king’s mouth, they covered Haman’s face.Then Harbonah, one of the eunuchs who were with the king said,“ Behold, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman has made for Mordecai, who spoke good for the king, is standing at Haman’s house.” The king said,“ Hang him on it!”So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king’s wrath was pacified.

The nations have sunk down in the pit that they made. In the net which they hid, their own foot is taken.Yahweh has made himself known. He has executed judgment. The wicked is snared by the work of his own hands. Meditation. Selah.

When Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his donkey, arose, and went home, to his city, and set his house in order, and hanged himself; and he died, and was buried in the tomb of his father.

Therefore they will eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own schemes.For the backsliding of the simple will kill them. The careless ease of fools will destroy them.
