The king exclaimed,“ Will he also attempt to rape the queen while I am still in the building!” As these words left the king’s mouth, they covered Haman’s face.Harbona, one of the king’s eunuchs, said,“ Indeed, there is the gallows that Haman made for Mordecai, who spoke out in the king’s behalf. It stands near Haman’s home and is seventy-five feet high.” The king said,“ Hang him on it!”So they hanged Haman on the very gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. The king’s rage then abated.

When Ahithophel realized that his advice had not been followed, he saddled his donkey and returned to his house in his hometown. After setting his household in order, he hanged himself. So he died and was buried in the grave of his father.

Therefore they will eat from the fruit of their way, and they will be stuffed full of their own counsel.For the waywardness of the simpletons will kill them, and the careless ease of fools will destroy them.
