They rush to commit evil deeds. They hurry to commit murder.If a bird sees a trap being set, it knows to stay away.But these people set an ambush for themselves; they are trying to get themselves killed.Such is the fate of all who are greedy for money; it robs them of life.

In every nation he accepts those who fear him and do what is right.

But he will pour out his anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and instead live lives of wickedness.There will be trouble and calamity for everyone who keeps on doing what is evil— for the Jew first and also for the Gentile.

Riches won’t help on the day of judgment, but right living can save you from death.
