When he opens his eyes, it is all gone.Terrors overwhelm him like a flood; at night a whirlwind carries him off.The east wind carries him away, and he is gone; it sweeps him out of his place.It hurls itself against him without pity as he flees headlong from its power.It claps its hands at him in derision and hisses him away from his place.

The wicked will be captured by his own iniquities, and he will be held by the cords of his own sin.

You were taught with reference to your former way of life to lay aside the old man who is being corrupted in accordance with deceitful desires,

Whoever eats their eggs will die, a poisonous snake is hatched.Their webs cannot be used for clothing; they cannot cover themselves with what they make. Their deeds are sinful; they commit violent crimes.They are eager to do evil, quick to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are sinful; they crush and destroy.They are unfamiliar with peace; their deeds are unjust. They use deceitful methods, and whoever deals with them is unfamiliar with peace.
