“ Then the King will say to those on His right,‘ Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in;naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’Then the righteous will answer Him,‘ Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink?And when did we see You as a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You?And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’And the King will answer and say to them,‘ Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of Mine, you did it for Me.’

For judgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment.

For he has oppressed and neglected the poor; He has seized a house which he has not built.“ Because he knew no quiet within him, He does not retain anything he desires.Nothing remains for him to devour, Therefore his prosperity does not endure.In the fullness of his excess he will be cramped; The hand of everyone who suffers will come against him.When he fills his belly, God will send His fierce anger on him And rain it on him while he is eating.

Blessed is one who considers the helpless; The Lord will save him on a day of trouble.The Lord will protect him and keep him alive, And he will be called blessed upon the earth; And do not turn him over to the desire of his enemies.The Lord will sustain him upon his sickbed; In his illness, You restore him to health.As for me, I said,“ Lord, be gracious to me; Heal my soul, for I have sinned against You.”

For if you forgive other people for their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.But if you do not forgive other people, then your Father will not forgive your offenses.

Is it not to break your bread with the hungry And bring the homeless poor into the house; When you see the naked, to cover him; And not to hide yourself from your own flesh?Then your light will break out like the dawn, And your recovery will spring up quickly; And your righteousness will go before you; The glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; You will cry for help, and He will say,‘ Here I am.’ If you remove the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger and speaking wickedness,And if you offer yourself to the hungry And satisfy the need of the afflicted, Then your light will rise in darkness, And your gloom will become like midday.And the Lord will continually guide you, And satisfy your desire in scorched places, And give strength to your bones; And you will be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins; You will raise up the age old foundations; And you will be called the repairer of the breach, The restorer of the streets in which to dwell.

Therefore, O king, may my advice be pleasing to you: wipe away your sin by doing righteousness, and your wrongdoings by showing mercy to the poor, in case there may be a prolonging of your prosperity.’

He who profits illicitly troubles his own house, But he who hates bribes will live.

The righteous person perishes, and no one takes it to heart; And devout people are taken away, while no one understands. For the righteous person is taken away from evil,

Come now, you rich people, weep and howl for your miseries which are coming upon you.Your riches have rotted and your garments have become moth eaten.Your gold and your silver have corroded, and their corrosion will serve as a testimony against you and will consume your flesh like fire. It is in the last days that you have stored up your treasure!Behold, the pay of the laborers who mowed your fields, and which has been withheld by you, cries out against you; and the outcry of those who did the harvesting has reached the ears of the Lord of armies.You have lived for pleasure on the earth and lived luxuriously; you have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter.

Light shines in the darkness for the upright; He is gracious, compassionate, and righteous.It goes well for a person who is gracious and lends; He will maintain his cause in judgment.For he will never be shaken; The righteous will be remembered forever.He will not fear bad news; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.His heart is firm, he will not fear, But will look with satisfaction on his enemies.He has given freely to the poor, His righteousness endures forever; His horn will be exalted in honor.

Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure— pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.”

There was a man without a dependent, having neither a son nor a brother, yet there was no end to all his labor. Indeed, his eyes were not satisfied with riches, and he never asked,“ And for whom do I labor and deprive myself of pleasure?” This too is futility, and it is an unhappy task.

Not that I seek the gift itself, but I seek the profit which increases to your account.

Now I say this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows generously will also reap generously.Each one must do just as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.And God is able to make all grace overflow to you, so that, always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;as it is written:“ He scattered abroad, he gave to the poor, His righteousness endures forever.”Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness;you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God.For the ministry of this service is not only fully supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God.Because of the proof given by this ministry, they will glorify God for your obedience to your confession of the gospel of Christ and for the liberality of your contribution to them and to all,while they also, by prayer on your behalf, yearn for you because of the surpassing grace of God in you.

As for a rogue, his weapons are evil; He devises wicked schemes To destroy the poor with slander, Even though the needy one speaks what is right.But the noble person devises noble plans; And by noble plans he stands.
