He will dwell on high; His place of defense will be the fortress of rocks; Bread will be given him, His water will be sure.

Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?“ Therefore do not worry, saying,‘ What shall we eat?’ or‘ What shall we drink?’ or‘ What shall we wear?’For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

To deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine.

In famine He shall redeem you from death, And in war from the power of the sword.

They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

The wicked will see it and be grieved; He will gnash his teeth and melt away; The desire of the wicked shall perish.

“ Because he knows no quietness in his heart, He will not save anything he desires.Nothing is left for him to eat; Therefore his well-being will not last.In his self-sufficiency he will be in distress; Every hand of misery will come against him.

Neither their silver nor their gold Shall be able to deliver them In the day of the LORD’s wrath; But the whole land shall be devoured By the fire of His jealousy, For He will make speedy riddance Of all those who dwell in the land.

But You have seen, for You observe trouble and grief, To repay it by Your hand. The helpless commits himself to You; You are the helper of the fatherless.

The increase of his house will depart, And his goods will flow away in the day of His wrath.

Then He said to His disciples,“ Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on.Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?

“ Will not all these take up a proverb against him, And a taunting riddle against him, and say,‘ Woe to him who increases What is not his— how long? And to him who loads himself with many pledges’?Will not your creditors rise up suddenly? Will they not awaken who oppress you? And you will become their booty.Because you have plundered many nations, All the remnant of the people shall plunder you, Because of men’s blood And the violence of the land and the city, And of all who dwell in it.

The wicked is banished in his wickedness, But the righteous has a refuge in his death.

But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.

That the triumphing of the wicked is short, And the joy of the hypocrite is but for a moment?Though his haughtiness mounts up to the heavens, And his head reaches to the clouds,Yet he will perish forever like his own refuse; Those who have seen him will say,‘ Where is he?’He will fly away like a dream, and not be found; Yes, he will be chased away like a vision of the night.

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said,“ I will never leave you nor forsake you.”So we may boldly say:“ The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”

Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
