谨守训诲的，乃在生命的道上；违弃责备的，便失迷了路。

遵守训诲的，行在生命道上；离弃责备的，走迷了路。

听从教诲的，走生命之路；拒绝责备的，必步入歧途。

遵守教训的，走在生命的路上；离弃责备的，却是走上错路。

接受管教的，在生命路上；离弃责备的，必导致迷失。

Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray.

Anyone who pays attention to correction shows the path to life. But anyone who refuses to be corrected leads others down the wrong path.

People who accept discipline are on the pathway to life, but those who ignore correction will go astray.

For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge,knowledge with self-control, self-control with endurance, endurance with godliness,godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being useless or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.The person who lacks these things is blind and shortsighted and has forgotten the cleansing from his past sins.Therefore, brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election, because if you do these things you will never stumble.For in this way, entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly provided for you.

She is a tree of life to those who embrace her, and those who hold on to her are happy.

For a command is a lamp, teaching is a light, and corrective discipline is the way to life.

and you will say,“ How I hated discipline, and how my heart despised correction.

He said,“ Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it.”

One who becomes stiff-necked, after many reprimands will be shattered instantly— beyond recovery.

since you neglected all my counsel and did not accept my correction,I, in turn, will laugh at your calamity. I will mock when terror strikes you,

“ Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.The rain fell, the rivers rose, and the winds blew and pounded that house. Yet it didn’t collapse, because its foundation was on the rock.But everyone who hears these words of mine and doesn’t act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.The rain fell, the rivers rose, the winds blew and pounded that house, and it collapsed. It collapsed with a great crash.”

My son, don’t forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commands;for they will bring you many days, a full life, and well-being.

Do not let your mouth bring guilt on you, and do not say in the presence of the messenger that it was a mistake. Why should God be angry with your words and destroy the work of your hands?

Hold on to instruction; don’t let go. Guard it, for it is your life.

he taught me and said,“ Your heart must hold on to my words. Keep my commands and live.

See to it that you do not reject the one who speaks. For if they did not escape when they rejected him who warned them on earth, even less will we if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven.

While he was still speaking to him, the king asked,“ Have we made you the king’s counselor? Stop, why should you lose your life?” So the prophet stopped, but he said,“ I know that God intends to destroy you, because you have done this and have not listened to my advice.”

Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but one who hates correction is stupid.

For this reason, we must pay attention all the more to what we have heard, so that we will not drift away.

Listen closely, pay attention to the words of the wise, and apply your mind to my knowledge.For it is pleasing if you keep them within you and if they are constantly on your lips.I have instructed you today— even you— so that your confidence may be in the LORD.
