因為，你們恨惡知識，不喜愛敬畏耶和華，

因为，你们恨恶知识，不喜爱敬畏耶和华，

因为他们恨恶知识，选择不敬畏耶和华，

因为他们恨恶知识，选择不敬畏耶和华，

因为你们厌恶知识，不愿意敬畏耶和华，

因为他们恨恶知识，不选择敬畏耶和华；

正是因为他们恨恶知识，没有选择敬畏耶和华，

因為他們恨惡知識，選擇不敬畏耶和華，

因為他們恨惡知識，選擇不敬畏耶和華，

因為你們厭惡知識，不願意敬畏耶和華，

因為他們恨惡知識，不選擇敬畏耶和華；

因為他們恨惡知識，並不選擇敬畏永恆主的事；

正是因為他們恨惡知識，沒有選擇敬畏耶和華，

因其憎惡知識、不喜寅畏耶和華、

爾素不志於學、不畏耶和華、

因厭惡知識、不以畏主為悅、

since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the Lord.

Because they hated moral knowledge, and did not choose to fear the LORD,

說：你們愚昧人喜愛愚昧，褻慢人喜歡褻慢，愚頑人恨惡知識，要到幾時呢？

因為誡命是燈，法則是光，訓誨的責備是生命的道，

枝條枯乾，必被折斷；婦女要來點火燒着。因為這百姓蒙昧無知，所以，創造他們的必不憐恤他們；造成他們的也不施恩與他們。

「你們這硬着頸項、心與耳未受割禮的人，常時抗拒聖靈！你們的祖宗怎樣，你們也怎樣。哪一個先知不是你們祖宗逼迫呢？他們也把預先傳說那義者要來的人殺了；如今你們又把那義者賣了，殺了。你們受了天使所傳的律法，竟不遵守。」眾人聽見這話就極其惱怒，向司提反咬牙切齒。

他們對神說：離開我們吧！我們不願曉得你的道。全能者是誰，我們何必事奉他呢？求告他有甚麼益處呢？

但是不可少的只有一件；馬利亞已經選擇那上好的福分，是不能奪去的。」

凡作惡的便恨光，並不來就光，恐怕他的行為受責備。

他寧可和神的百姓同受苦害，也不願暫時享受罪中之樂。

說：我怎麼恨惡訓誨，心中藐視責備，

因為他們是悖逆的百姓、說謊的兒女，不肯聽從耶和華訓誨的兒女。他們對先見說：不要望見不吉利的事，對先知說：不要向我們講正直的話；要向我們說柔和的話，言虛幻的事。你們要離棄正道，偏離直路，不要在我們面前再提說以色列的聖者。所以，以色列的聖者如此說：因為你們藐視這訓誨的話，倚賴欺壓和乖僻，以此為可靠的，

但神對惡人說：你怎敢傳說我的律例，口中提到我的約呢？其實你恨惡管教，將我的言語丟在背後。
