可懼之事、臨若狂風、災害至如暴風、爾遭患難、受窘迫、

Don’t be afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it comes;for Yahweh will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being taken.

Let their table before them become a snare. May it become a retribution and a trap.Let their eyes be darkened, so that they can’t see. Let their backs be continually bent.Pour out your indignation on them. Let the fierceness of your anger overtake them.Let their habitation be desolate. Let no one dwell in their tents.For they persecute him whom you have wounded. They tell of the sorrow of those whom you have hurt.Charge them with crime upon crime. Don’t let them come into your righteousness.Let them be blotted out of the book of life, and not be written with the righteous.

The kings of the earth, the princes, the commanding officers, the rich, the strong, and every slave and free person, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains.They told the mountains and the rocks,“ Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb,for the great day of his wrath has come; and who is able to stand?”

The nations will rush like the rushing of many waters: but he will rebuke them, and they will flee far off, and will be chased like the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like the whirling dust before the storm.

For when they are saying,“ Peace and safety,” then sudden destruction will come on them, like birth pains on a pregnant woman. Then they will in no way escape.

What the wicked fear, will overtake them, but the desire of the righteous will be granted.When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more; but the righteous stand firm forever.

Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who nurse infants in those days! For there will be great distress in the land, and wrath to this people.They will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; and on the earth anxiety of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the waves;men fainting for fear, and for expectation of the things which are coming on the world: for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

“ So be careful, or your hearts will be loaded down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day will come on you suddenly.For it will come like a snare on all those who dwell on the surface of all the earth.
