那时，恐惧如风暴袭击你们，灾难如旋风临到你们，忧愁和苦难吞没你们。

惊恐临到你们好像风暴，灾难如同飓风来临，患难困苦临到你们身上。

那时，恐惧像风暴那样临到，灾难像旋风那样来临，患难和困苦临到你们身上。

那時，恐懼如風暴襲擊你們，災難如旋風臨到你們，憂愁和苦難吞沒你們。

驚恐臨到你們好像風暴，災難如同颶風來臨，患難困苦臨到你們身上。

恐懼臨到你們、好像狂風，災難來到、如同風暴；艱難困苦臨到你們身上：

那時，恐懼像風暴那樣臨到，災難像旋風那樣來臨，患難和困苦臨到你們身上。

爾之恐惶、如狂風之來、爾之患難、如颶風之至、罹憂傷、遇窘苦、

爾所懼之災害、迫切之患難、突如其來、如颶風之倏至。

可懼之事、臨若狂風、災害至如暴風、爾遭患難、受窘迫、

耶和華不輕易發怒，大有能力，萬不以有罪的為無罪。他乘旋風和暴風而來，雲彩為他腳下的塵土。

將患難、困苦加給一切作惡的人，先是猶太人，後是希臘人，

忽然來的驚恐，不要害怕；惡人遭毀滅，也不要恐懼。因為耶和華是你所倚靠的；他必保守你的腳不陷入網羅。

你們用荊棘燒火，鍋還未熱，他要用旋風把青的和燒着的一齊颳去。

願他們的筵席在他們面前變為網羅，在他們平安的時候變為機檻。願他們的眼睛昏矇，不得看見；願你使他們的腰常常戰抖。求你將你的惱恨倒在他們身上，叫你的烈怒追上他們。願他們的住處變為荒場；願他們的帳棚無人居住。因為，你所擊打的，他們就逼迫；你所擊傷的，他們戲說他的愁苦。願你在他們的罪上加罪，不容他們在你面前稱義。願他們從生命冊上被塗抹，不得記錄在義人之中。

地上的君王、臣宰、將軍、富戶、壯士，和一切為奴的、自主的，都藏在山洞和巖石穴裏，向山和巖石說：「倒在我們身上吧！把我們藏起來，躲避坐寶座者的面目和羔羊的忿怒；因為他們忿怒的大日到了，誰能站得住呢？」

列邦奔騰，好像多水滔滔；但神斥責他們，他們就遠遠逃避，又被追趕，如同山上的風前糠，又如暴風前的旋風土。

人正說「平安穩妥」的時候，災禍忽然臨到他們，如同產難臨到懷胎的婦人一樣，他們絕不能逃脫。

惡人所怕的，必臨到他；義人所願的，必蒙應允。暴風一過，惡人歸於無有；義人的根基卻是永久。

當那些日子，懷孕的和奶孩子的有禍了！因為將有大災難降在這地方，也有震怒臨到這百姓。他們要倒在刀下，又被擄到各國去。耶路撒冷要被外邦人踐踏，直到外邦人的日期滿了。」「日、月、星辰要顯出異兆，地上的邦國也有困苦；因海中波浪的響聲，就慌慌不定。天勢都要震動，人想起那將要臨到世界的事，就都嚇得魂不附體。

「你們要謹慎，恐怕因貪食、醉酒，並今生的思慮累住你們的心，那日子就如同網羅忽然臨到你們；因為那日子要這樣臨到全地上一切居住的人。
