惊恐临到你们，好像狂风；灾难来到，如同暴风；急难痛苦临到你们身上。

那时，恐惧如风暴袭击你们，灾难如旋风临到你们，忧愁和苦难吞没你们。

惊恐临到你们好像风暴，灾难如同飓风来临，患难困苦临到你们身上。

那时，恐惧像风暴那样临到，灾难像旋风那样来临，患难和困苦临到你们身上。

驚恐臨到你們，好像狂風；災難來到，如同暴風；急難痛苦臨到你們身上。

那時，恐懼如風暴襲擊你們，災難如旋風臨到你們，憂愁和苦難吞沒你們。

恐懼臨到你們、好像狂風，災難來到、如同風暴；艱難困苦臨到你們身上：

爾之恐惶、如狂風之來、爾之患難、如颶風之至、罹憂傷、遇窘苦、

爾所懼之災害、迫切之患難、突如其來、如颶風之倏至。

可懼之事、臨若狂風、災害至如暴風、爾遭患難、受窘迫、

神要把患難和困苦加給一切作惡之人的靈魂，先是猶太人的，後是外邦人的；

突然來的恐嚇，你不要害怕；惡人的殘害臨到時，你也不要害怕；因為耶和華是你的依靠，他保守你的腳不陷入網羅。

在你們的鍋還沒有被荊棘燒熱之前，他就要用旋風，把其中未燒著的和已燒著的一起颳走！

願他們的筵席在他們面前成為網羅，在他們平安的時候成為陷阱。願他們的眼睛變為昏暗，不能看見；求你使他們的腰一直顫抖。求你向他們傾瀉你的憤怒，願你猛烈的怒氣追上他們。願他們的營寨變得荒涼，願他們的帳篷無人居住；因為他們追逼你所擊打的人，議論你所擊傷之人的痛苦。求你使他們罪上加罪，不要讓他們進入你的公義。願他們從生命冊上被抹掉，不要讓他們與義人一同被記錄。

地上的眾君王、大臣、軍官、富有的、有權的、所有的奴隸和自由人，都藏在洞穴裡和山嶺的岩石間。他們對山嶺和岩石說：「倒在我們身上吧！把我們藏起來，好躲避坐在寶座上那一位的臉和羔羊的震怒；因為他們震怒的大日子到了，誰能站得住呢？」

萬族喧嘩雖像大水的喧嚷，但神必斥責他們，他們就遠遠逃跑；他們被追趕，如山上風前的糠秕，又如旋風前的塵土。

當人們正說「和平」、「安全」的時候，毀滅那時就突然臨到他們，就像孕婦的臨產陣痛那樣，他們絕不能逃脫。

惡人所懼怕的必臨到他，義人所渴望的必蒙應允。旋風一過，惡人就不復存在；而義人卻有永遠的根基。

在那些日子裡，孕婦和哺乳的女人有禍了！因為將有大苦難臨到這地，也有震怒臨到這民。他們將倒在刀口下，被擄到各國去。耶路撒冷將要被外邦人踐踏，直到外邦人的日期滿了。「在太陽、月亮和星辰中將有徵兆出現；在地上，因海洋的咆哮和翻騰，列國的人就驚慌失措，陷入困惑混亂之中；人們預料到將要臨到世界的事，就嚇得魂不附體；因為諸天的各勢力都將被震動。

「你們要謹慎自守，免得你們的心因宴樂、醉酒和今生的憂慮變得遲鈍，那日子就會像網羅一樣突然臨到你們，因為那日子將要臨到所有住在全地面上的人。
