那时，恐惧如风暴袭击你们，灾难如旋风临到你们，忧愁和苦难吞没你们。

惊恐临到你们好像风暴，灾难如同飓风来临，患难困苦临到你们身上。

驚恐臨到你們，好像狂風；災難來到，如同暴風；急難痛苦臨到你們身上。

那時，恐懼如風暴襲擊你們，災難如旋風臨到你們，憂愁和苦難吞沒你們。

神要把患难和困苦加给一切作恶之人的灵魂，先是犹太人的，后是外邦人的；

突然来的恐吓，你不要害怕；恶人的残害临到时，你也不要害怕；因为耶和华是你的依靠，他保守你的脚不陷入网罗。

在你们的锅还没有被荆棘烧热之前，他就要用旋风，把其中未烧着的和已烧着的一起刮走！

愿他们的筵席在他们面前成为网罗，在他们平安的时候成为陷阱。愿他们的眼睛变为昏暗，不能看见；求你使他们的腰一直颤抖。求你向他们倾泻你的愤怒，愿你猛烈的怒气追上他们。愿他们的营寨变得荒凉，愿他们的帐篷无人居住；因为他们追逼你所击打的人，议论你所击伤之人的痛苦。求你使他们罪上加罪，不要让他们进入你的公义。愿他们从生命册上被抹掉，不要让他们与义人一同被记录。

地上的众君王、大臣、军官、富有的、有权的、所有的奴隶和自由人，都藏在洞穴里和山岭的岩石间。他们对山岭和岩石说：“倒在我们身上吧！把我们藏起来，好躲避坐在宝座上那一位的脸和羔羊的震怒；因为他们震怒的大日子到了，谁能站得住呢？”

万族喧哗虽像大水的喧嚷，但神必斥责他们，他们就远远逃跑；他们被追赶，如山上风前的糠秕，又如旋风前的尘土。

当人们正说“和平”、“安全”的时候，毁灭那时就突然临到他们，就像孕妇的临产阵痛那样，他们绝不能逃脱。

恶人所惧怕的必临到他，义人所渴望的必蒙应允。旋风一过，恶人就不复存在；而义人却有永远的根基。

在那些日子里，孕妇和哺乳的女人有祸了！因为将有大苦难临到这地，也有震怒临到这民。他们将倒在刀口下，被掳到各国去。耶路撒冷将要被外邦人践踏，直到外邦人的日期满了。“在太阳、月亮和星辰中将有征兆出现；在地上，因海洋的咆哮和翻腾，列国的人就惊慌失措，陷入困惑混乱之中；人们预料到将要临到世界的事，就吓得魂不附体；因为诸天的各势力都将被震动。

“你们要谨慎自守，免得你们的心因宴乐、醉酒和今生的忧虑变得迟钝，那日子就会像网罗一样突然临到你们，因为那日子将要临到所有住在全地面上的人。
