“ How long will you who are simple love your simple ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge?

“ How long will you childish people love your childish ways? How long will you rude people enjoy making fun of God and others? How long will you foolish people hate knowledge?

“ How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple? How long will scoffers delight in their scoffing and fools hate knowledge?

“ How long, you simpletons, will you insist on being simpleminded? How long will you mockers relish your mocking? How long will you fools hate knowledge?

“ How long, inexperienced ones, will you love ignorance? How long will you mockers enjoy mocking and you fools hate knowledge?

“ How long, you naive ones, will you love simplistic thinking? And how long will scoffers delight themselves in scoffing And fools hate knowledge?

“ How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? For scorners delight in their scorning, And fools hate knowledge.

since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the Lord. (niv)

Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, (niv)

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (niv)

The Spirit and the bride say,“ Come!” And let the one who hears say,“ Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life. (niv)

But go and learn what this means:‘ I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” (niv)

When a mocker is punished, the simple gain wisdom; by paying attention to the wise they get knowledge. (niv)

Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. (niv)

Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. (niv)

“ Let all who are simple come to my house!” To those who have no sense she says,“ Stolen water is sweet; food eaten in secret is delicious!”But little do they know that the dead are there, that her guests are deep in the realm of the dead. (niv)

for giving prudence to those who are simple, knowledge and discretion to the young— (niv)

He mocks proud mockers but shows favor to the humble and oppressed. (niv)

Penalties are prepared for mockers, and beatings for the backs of fools. (niv)

So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said to him,“ This is what the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says:‘ How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, so that they may worship me. (niv)

Take notice, you senseless ones among the people; you fools, when will you become wise? (niv)

I saw among the simple, I noticed among the young men, a youth who had no sense. (niv)
