Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only;

And you believers at Philippi know what happened when I left Macedonia. Not one church helped me in the matter of giving and receiving. You were the only one that did. That was in the early days when you first heard the good news.

And you Philippians yourselves know that in the beginning of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church entered into partnership with me in giving and receiving, except you only.

As you know, you Philippians were the only ones who gave me financial help when I first brought you the Good News and then traveled on from Macedonia. No other church did this.

And you Philippians know that in the early days of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving except you alone.

You yourselves also know, Philippians, that at the first preaching of the gospel, after I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving except you alone;

Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only.

And ye yourselves also know, ye Philippians, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church had fellowship with me in the matter of giving and receiving but ye only;

我感謝上帝，因為從頭一天到如今、你們在福音之推廣上就有了分。

我「搶」別的教會，取了工價，好服事你們！我在你們那裏有缺乏時，並沒有累着你們一個人；因為我的缺乏、從馬其頓來的弟兄都補足了。我向來凡事自守、不連累你們，將來也必自守。我指着在我裏面的基督之真誠來說！這誇口、在亞該亞地帶、是不會在我身上被堵住的。為甚麼呢？是因為我不愛你們麼？上帝知道。但我現在所作的、將來還要作，好截掉那些願得機會之人的機會，使他們在所誇口的事上能被人看出是企圖要跟我們平等。

我成了糊塗人，是你們強逼我的。我本該受你們稱許才是呢。我雖算不了甚麼，卻沒有一件趕不上那些超等的「使徒」啊。因為使徒的記號、真地在你們中間、以萬分的堅忍、藉着神迹奇事和異能、都顯出來了。除了我本人不連累你們這一件事以外，你們還有甚麼被壓下、以致不如其餘的教會呢？這個委屈、你們饒恕我吧！你看，這是我準備好了、要第三次到你們那裏去的；我也不會連累你們。因為我求的並不是你們的財物，乃是你們自己；因為不是兒女為父母積蓄，而是父母為兒女。論到我嘛、我頂喜歡地為你們開費，以至於費盡了我自己。是不是我越發愛你們，就該越發少得你們的愛呢？

二人從監裏出來，進呂底亞家裏；見了弟兄，就鼓勵他們；然後出行。保羅西拉旅行過暗妃波里、亞波羅尼亞，來到帖撒羅尼迦，在那裏有猶太人的會堂。保羅照他素常所行的進去，一連三個安息日，根據經典和他們辯論，開講陳明上帝所膏立者必須受害，從死人中復起。又說：『我向你們傳揚的這位耶穌，就是上帝所膏立者。』他們中間有些人受了勸，就附從保羅和西拉，有一大羣虔敬的希利尼人，做領袖的婦女也不少。但是猶太人卻起了妒忌的心，招聚些市井惡人，搭夥成羣，轟亂那城，闖進耶孫的家，想法子要將保羅西拉帶交民眾。

神人的僮僕基哈西心裏說：『看哪，我主人顧惜這一位亞蘭人乃縵，不從他手裏接收他所帶來的東西。我指着永活的永恆主來起誓、我一定要跑去追上他，向他要一點。』

以利沙說：『我指着我侍立在他面前的永活永恆主來起誓，我一定不接收。』乃縵再三逼着他接收，他都不肯。
