而與之合為一體。蓋予自身了無仁義、律法亦不足為恃、惟天主為仁義之泉源、而所以致之者、則惟信仰基督而已矣。

and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ— the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.

I want to be joined to him. Being right with God does not come from my obeying the law. It comes because I believe in Christ. It comes from God because of faith.

and become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith.

and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith,

and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own from the law, but one that is through faith in Christ— the righteousness from God based on faith.

and be found in him, not because I have my own righteousness derived from the law, but because I have the righteousness that comes by way of Christ’s faithfulness– a righteousness from God that is in fact based on Christ’s faithfulness.

Him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; that we might become the righteousness of God in him.

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who was made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:

For not through the law was the promise to Abraham or to his seed that he should be heir of the world, but through the righteousness of faith.For if they that are of the law are heirs, faith is made void, and the promise is made of none effect:for the law worketh wrath; but where there is no law, neither is there transgression.

For therein is revealed a righteousness of God from faith unto faith: as it is written, But the righteous shall live by faith.

What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, who followed not after righteousness, attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith:but Israel, following after a law of righteousness, did not arrive at that law.Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by works. They stumbled at the stone of stumbling;

yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed on Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law: because by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by the knowledge of himself shall my righteous servant justify many; and he shall bear their iniquities.

For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were through the law, wrought in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that wherein we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter.What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely; and this is the name whereby she shall be called: Jehovah our righteousness.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus.

Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it speaketh to them that are under the law; that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God:because by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified in his sight; for through the law cometh the knowledge of sin.But now apart from the law a righteousness of God hath been manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ unto all them that believe; for there is no distinction;

as touching zeal, persecuting the church; as touching the righteousness which is in the law, found blameless.

Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could make alive, verily righteousness would have been of the law.But the scripture shut up all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Surely there is not a righteous man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and this is his name whereby he shall be called: Jehovah our righteousness.

Brethren, my heart’s desire and my supplication to God is for them, that they may be saved.For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.For being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.For Christ is the end of the law unto righteousness to every one that believeth.For Moses writeth that the man that doeth the righteousness which is of the law shall live thereby.But the righteousness which is of faith saith thus, Say not in thy heart, Who shall ascend into heaven?( that is, to bring Christ down:)

not by works done in righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

who saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before times eternal,

But go ye and learn what this meaneth, I desire mercy, and not sacrifice: for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

And enter not into judgment with thy servant; For in thy sight no man living is righteous.

For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one who continueth not in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them.Now that no man is justified by the law before God, is evident: for, The righteous shall live by faith;and the law is not of faith; but, He that doeth them shall live in them.Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us; for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and Jehovah hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

in which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison,that aforetime were disobedient, when the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water:

Wherefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: the old things are passed away; behold, they are become new.

And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and made trial of him, saying, Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?And he said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.But he, desiring to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbor?

If they sin against thee( for there is no man that sinneth not), and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captive unto the land of the enemy, far off or near;

They are all gone aside; they are together become filthy; There is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Who can discern his errors? Clear thou me from hidden faults.

And every living thing was destroyed that was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and creeping things, and birds of the heavens; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only was left, and they that were with him in the ark.

If thou, Jehovah, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?But there is forgiveness with thee, That thou mayest be feared.

Seventy weeks are decreed upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy.

Only in Jehovah, it is said of me, is righteousness and strength; even to him shall men come; and all they that were incensed against him shall be put to shame.In Jehovah shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

that, as sin reigned in death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

What is man, that he should be clean? And he that is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?Behold, he putteth no trust in his holy ones; Yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight:How much less one that is abominable and corrupt, A man that drinketh iniquity like water!

Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained a like precious faith with us in the righteousness of our God and the Saviour Jesus Christ:

Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, Jehovah of hosts.

I am afraid of all my sorrows, I know that thou wilt not hold me innocent.I shall be condemned; Why then do I labor in vain?If I wash myself with snow water, And make my hands never so clean;Yet wilt thou plunge me in the ditch, And mine own clothes shall abhor me.

And he, when he is come, will convict the world in respect of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:of sin, because they believe not on me;of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and ye behold me no more;of judgment, because the prince of this world hath been judged.

My mouth shall tell of thy righteousness, And of thy salvation all the day; For I know not the numbers thereof.I will come with the mighty acts of the Lord Jehovah: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.
