只是我先前以为与我有益的，我现在因基督都当作有损的。

But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.

I thought things like that were really something great. But now I consider them to be nothing because of Christ.

But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ.

I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done.

But everything that was a gain to me, I have considered to be a loss because of Christ.

What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christand be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ— the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.I want to know Christ— yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, (niv)
