我曾求耶和華一事、今仍祈之、畢生居耶和華室、瞻其榮美、思維其殿兮、

我誠以萬事為損、因識我主基督耶穌為更美、且為彼已損萬事、視為糞土、致可得乎基督、而恆在其中、

故於基督道之始、我姑舍之、惟完全是務、不復置基、有若改悔死行、信奉上帝、

我言此、非因缺乏之故、蓋我已學、隨遇而安、我知所以處貧賤、亦知所以處富厚、隨在隨事、或飽或飢、或豐或歉、我悉諳練之矣、我賴增我力者事事克為、

愛友乎、爾素承順、不惟於我同在時、即今暌違、益宜畏懼戰慄、以成爾之濟救、

然則何如乎、無論或偽或誠、基督是宣、我則樂之、且終樂之、蓋我知此、由爾祈禱、及所賜耶穌基督之神、終必使我得救、依我之企望、概無所愧、而毅然如常、今或生或死、基督將於我身丕顯、蓋我之生即基督、死亦有益、

然所需者一而已、馬利亞已擇善業、而莫之奪也、

今而後我儕不以貌識人、雖曾以貌識基督、今不復如此識之、

愛友乎、勿忘斯事、在主一日猶千年、千年猶一日、

女子歟、聽之思之、傾耳聆之、爾之鄉民、爾之父家、勿為繫念兮、

今在此境、再無可往、數年來所願者、往士班雅時就爾、蓋望旅中見爾、先於爾曹稍滿我志、蒙爾送行、今我往耶路撒冷供給聖徒、蓋馬其頓亞該亞人樂意捐貲、為耶路撒冷聖徒中之貧乏者、彼固樂意、亦負其債、因異邦既共與其屬神之物、自當以屬身之物供之、迨畢斯事、誌此善果、則將由爾適士班雅矣、我知就爾時、必以基督之厚福而來、○
