自卑而順服至死、甚而死於十字架、

其為人也、復謙之又謙、損之又損、惟天主之命是從；鞠躬盡瘁、死而後已、終至致命於十字架上。

And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!

He appeared as a man. He was humble and obeyed God completely. He did this even though it led to his death. Even worse, he died on a cross!

In His humiliation His justice was taken away, And who will declare His generation? For His life is taken from the earth.”

So also Christ did not glorify Himself to become High Priest, but it was He who said to Him:“ You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.”As He also says in another place:“ You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek”;who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear,though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,

Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; My ears You have opened. Burnt offering and sin offering You did not require.Then I said,“ Behold, I come; In the scroll of the book it is written of me.I delight to do Your will, O my God, And Your law is within my heart.”

If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.

Again, a second time, He went away and prayed, saying,“ O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done.”

As He prayed, the appearance of His face was altered, and His robe became white and glistening.

Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up on a high mountain apart by themselves; and He was transfigured before them.His clothes became shining, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them.

Jesus said to them,“ My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.

and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.
