他形質上本是屬神的，卻不以自己與上帝平等為應當把持不捨的，

彼原有上帝之狀、不以匹上帝自居、

彼具體上帝、即匹上帝、不為僭、

彼具天主之體、即配天主不以為僭、

夫彼神也、與天主等齊而不居焉、

Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;

In his very nature he was God. Jesus was equal with God. But Jesus didn’t take advantage of that fact.

who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,

Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to.

who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be exploited.

who, as He already existed in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,

who, existing in the form of God, counted not the being on an equality with God a thing to be grasped,

who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be used for His own advantage.

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

who though he existed in the form of God did not regard equality with God as something to be grasped,

who, existing in the form of God, didn’t consider equality with God a thing to be grasped,

Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.

whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.

And He said to me,“ It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.

I and My Father are one.”

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

The Jews answered Him, saying,“ For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.”

For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Jesus said to them,“ Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen.

“ But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting.”

And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me,“ Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last.I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.

but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.”

And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him,“ Are You for us or for our adversaries?”So He said,“ No, but as Commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him,“ What does my Lord say to His servant?”Then the Commander of the LORD’s army said to Joshua,“ Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy.” And Joshua did so.

And Thomas answered and said to Him,“ My Lord and my God!”

But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says:“ Let all the angels of God worship Him.”

Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.

looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.He was in the beginning with God.

“ Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated,“ God with us.”

He took his brother by the heel in the womb, And in his strength he struggled with God.Yes, he struggled with the Angel and prevailed; He wept, and sought favor from Him. He found Him in Bethel, And there He spoke to us—That is, the Lord God of hosts. The Lord is His memorable name.

But to the Son He says:“ Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your Kingdom.

Then I looked, and there was a likeness, like the appearance of fire— from the appearance of His waist and downward, fire; and from His waist and upward, like the appearance of brightness, like the color of amber.He stretched out the form of a hand, and took me by a lock of my hair; and the Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven, and brought me in visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the north gate of the inner court, where the seat of the image of jealousy was, which provokes to jealousy.And behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, like the vision that I saw in the plain.Then He said to me,“ Son of man, lift your eyes now toward the north.” So I lifted my eyes toward the north, and there, north of the altar gate, was this image of jealousy in the entrance.Furthermore He said to me,“ Son of man, do you see what they are doing, the great abominations that the house of Israel commits here, to make Me go far away from My sanctuary? Now turn again, you will see greater abominations.”

that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

In His days Judah will be saved, And Israel will dwell safely; Now this is His name by which He will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

He will pass through Judah, He will overflow and pass over, He will reach up to the neck; And the stretching out of his wings Will fill the breadth of Your land, O Immanuel.

Jesus said to him,“ Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say,‘ show us the Father’?

“ Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, Against the Man who is My Companion,” Says the Lord of hosts.“ Strike the Shepherd, And the sheep will be scattered; Then I will turn My hand against the little ones.

And he blessed Joseph, and said:“ God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, The God who has fed me all my life long to this day,The Angel who has redeemed me from all evil, Bless the lads; Let my name be named upon them, And the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; And let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.”

You have heard Me say to you,‘ I am going away and coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said,‘ I am going to the Father,’ for My Father is greater than I.

Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day.Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob’s hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him.And He said,“ Let Me go, for the day breaks.” But he said,“ I will not let You go unless You bless me!”So He said to him,“ What is your name?” He said,“ Jacob.”And He said,“ Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.”Then Jacob asked, saying,“ Tell me Your name, I pray.” And He said,“ Why is it that you ask about My name?” And He blessed him there.So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel:“ For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.”
