I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.

今急急遣之使還者、欲爾等因重與相見、而獲欣慰、亦所以減我之憂耳。

Therefore I am all the more eager to send him, so that when you see him again you may be glad and I may have less anxiety.

And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself unto him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.And Israel said unto Joseph, Now let me die, since I have seen thy face, because thou[ art] yet alive.

And I wrote this same unto you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is[ the joy] of you all.

And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived:And Israel said,[ It is] enough; Joseph my son[ is] yet alive: I will go and see him before I die.

And Israel said unto Joseph, I had not thought to see thy face: and, lo, God hath shewed me also thy seed.

Sorrowing most of all for the words which he spake, that they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him unto the ship.

For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick.For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.
